Definition of hope
intransitive verb 1: to cherish a desire with anticipation : to want something to happen or be true
That is one thing I'm never shy of... hope. I often hope that I'll go even longer without a relapse. I hope that I'll wake up one day and it will be gone. I hope that I can continue on with my life. Every time I get blood work, I hope that the numbers are good. I hope that one day this is all in the past and I can look back and say man, I survived that.
Hope is something that I can do all on my own. I can hold on to it, cross my fingers, close my eyes and hope for the best. Hope for a better future. Hope is something others can do for me as well. They can hope that I get better. They can hope that this was the last time. They can hope that I stay healthy. Having hope connects us to one another. We often hope for the same things and don't realize it. I've found that once you lose hope, you've kind of lost yourself... I'd like to keep holding on to hope.
