A couple months ago I was approached by a company that provides amazing information about a variety of rare diseases in the world. Research studies, scientist, doctors and so many more valuable sources of information. They have it ALL! I was asked if I would be interested in writing a column for them in regards to my ITP diagnosis. They have a section that is all about the patient perspective. You know sharing my story and promoting advocacy is my jam so I was SO excited! Soooooo after all the paperwork and a few formal discussions, I so gleefully accepted their offer.
It's no secret that I want to educate people as much as possible about ITP and create all the awareness we can. I'm so passionate about supporting other ITP Warriors and offering a safe place for them to know they aren't alone. My heart beats extra whenever I make a new connection with a fellow ITP Warrior. It just fills my soul. This new venture is going to allow me to not only share my story but many stories from my fellow ITP Warriors. I'm not real great at being an "official" writer, as you can tell from my blog posts I just kind of spew information out BUT you gotta start somewhere, right? I hope to be able to improve my writing skills while I embark on this journey to share our experiences. Follow along with me!
I will update this post each time a new column is released, that way you can always find them here if you're interested.
